Contributor agreement

How the working relationship works.

What you are agreeing to when you take paid work through eyas: how pay is calculated, when it arrives, and who owns what.

Effective 20 August 2026

You are an independent contractor

You work as an independent contractor engaged by Connektor Group LLC. This is not employment. No employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, or agency is created by this agreement or by any work you take.

You are not entitled to employee benefits: no paid leave, no sick pay, no pension contribution, no health cover, no notice period, and no redundancy entitlement.

You choose when you work and how much. There are no minimum hours, no shifts, and no obligation to accept any particular task. A quiet week carries no penalty and does not affect your standing. Equally, we are not obliged to offer you any particular volume of work.

How you are paid

  • Every queue posts its rate before you take a task. That posted rate is what the task pays.
  • Hours are counted on task time, meaning the time spent working the task, not the length of any underlying material.
  • Payouts run twice a week, on the two payout days you choose.
  • Probation batches pay the full queue rate. Probation is a quality gate, not a lower tier.

Rate changes are never applied retroactively. If a queue rate changes, work you have already completed is paid at the rate posted when you took it. A new rate applies only to tasks taken after the change.

Current rates are published on the Pay page.

You never pay us

Money moves in one direction only: from us to you. We never charge a fee, and we never ask you to pay for equipment, training, or onboarding. This is set out in full in the Fee Policy.

Taxes are yours

You are responsible for your own taxes. We do not withhold income tax, payroll tax, social security, national insurance, or any equivalent from your payouts. You are responsible for registering with the relevant authority where you live, for declaring what you earn, and for paying what you owe on it.

You are responsible for your own insurance and for any licence or registration your local law requires in order to work as a contractor.

Confidentiality

Task content, client material, assessment questions, answer keys, and anything else you see through the work are confidential. You agree not to disclose, publish, or reuse them, during the engagement or after it ends.

You agree not to put client material into any third-party tool, including AI assistants, unless a task explicitly instructs you to. On Web Work queues no AI tool may be used at any point.

Who owns the work

Work you produce in the course of a task is a work made for hire. To the extent it does not qualify as such, you assign to Connektor Group LLC all right, title, and interest in it, including all intellectual property rights, on creation and without further payment. We may pass those rights on to the client the work was done for.

You keep ownership of anything you made before this engagement and independently of it.

Quality and accuracy

Some batches include tasks with known answers, seeded so that accuracy is measurable in both directions. Persistently inaccurate work, or work produced with prohibited tools, may end the engagement. Work already completed and accepted is still paid.

Ending the engagement

Either side may end the engagement at any time, for any reason, with no notice period. Work you have completed and submitted before it ends is paid on the normal payout schedule.
