Twelve questions we get most often, answered with numbers rather than reassurance.

Questions

Do I need a degree, certifications, or work history?
No. There is no resume screen at all. The assessment is the entire application: 20 minutes on AI Work, 12 on Web Work. The paid probation batch is the real interview.
Is Web Work really AI-free?
Yes, at every point. The application, the assessment, and the work itself contain no AI-generated content and no AI-related questions. If touching AI is what you're avoiding, Web Work is built for you.
How much will I actually earn?
AI Work: $85/hr for general evaluation, $105/hr for rubric and comparison work, $120/hr for code review, $135/hr for specialist domains. Web Work: $65 to $80/hr by task type. Rates are posted per queue before you take a task. Hours depend on queue volume, and the status page shows how much work is open.
When do I get paid?
Twice a week, on the two payout days you pick. Probation tasks pay the same rate as regular tasks.
What does the assessment involve?
Short verification and reasoning tasks: checking claims against sources, spotting the answer that violates a stated constraint, ranking sources by reliability. One question per screen with visible autosave. No visible timer.
Can I use AI tools during the assessment?
No, and you certify that before starting. The pledge names ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grammarly, and AI answers in search. We measure typing patterns and paste events, and violations are grounds for removal. The assessment is designed so AI tools get it confidently wrong anyway.
What if I'm declined?
Your decision email includes a retry date 60 days out. You can retake the assessment then. The questions rotate, so it will not be the same set.
What happens to my data?
Your name and email live in one table, separate from your assessment answers. Graders score answers under an anonymous ID and never see who wrote them. We collect language and country because projects require them. We never collect gender, race, or ethnicity.
Which countries can apply?
Any country we can pay into. The application form shows the current payout list before you spend a minute on the assessment.
Are there minimum hours or shifts?
No. Work is queue-based: take a task, finish it, take another. A quiet week has no penalty and does not affect your standing.
What equipment do I need?
A computer with a reliable internet connection. Transcription queues need headphones. Nothing else.
Why did I get offered a different track than I applied for?
AI Work scoring looks at verification skill and model-judgment skill separately. Strong verification with weaker model judgment is exactly the profile Web Work pays for, so we offer it instead of declining. AI Work is open to you again at the 60-day mark.
